Dynavolt MG12BS (YTX12BS Upgrade) Gel Nano Battery

Gel Nano batteries are totally sealed units supplied ready activated. Superior to wet charged sealed activated batteries (YT series), Gel Nano are pre-filled with a unique gel electrolyte. This makes the battery easy and safer to use, requiring no topping up, eliminating spills and leakages, even if the battery casing is cracked or broken. Offering extended battery and shelf life, Dynavolt have replaced all YT (wet acid) batteries with the superior Gel Nano. Also available as upgrades for selected YTX models.

1. Remove the battery from packaging and place on a flat stable surface

2. Using a voltmeter, check the open circuit voltage of the battery

• If the battery voltage is between 12.60v and 13.15v it may be installed on the vehicle without any refresher charge
• If the battery voltage is lower than 12.60v the battery must be recommissioned on a charger suitable for sealed lead-acid batteries, as described in point 3.
• If the battery is being stored it is recommended to fully charge first, checks should be made at least every 4 months to ensure battery is kept above 12.60v. Never attempt to open the battery casing or add water or electrolyte to the battery

3. Constant voltage charging mode

• Constant voltage range = 14.40-14.70 V - Initial charging current = 0.1-0.5 Cn
• Charging time = min.6/max.24 hrs Constant current or power charging mode • Max.charging current = 0.1Cn
• Recommended charging time = 5-8 hrs.
• The result [(charging current) x (charging time)] must be within the range 0,5-0,8 Cn.

If other charging procedures are used different from those recommended above, the detailed maximum currents and 24 hours charging duration must not be exceeded.

WARRANTY Dynavolt batteries are guaranteed to be free from any defect in workmanship and materials and to be suitable for the application for which they are recommended by the company. Dynavolt guarantees all batteries for a full 12 months from date of sale under the following conditions

• the battery has been well maintained during storage and use in accordance with the charging instructions
• the battery has been kept at a constant charge of not less than 80%
• the battery has not been overcharged or allowed to sulphate or deep discharge
